In Out Solutions has been given the go-ahead to undertake a glass partitioning project at Derby Moor Spencer Academy in Derby, Derbyshire. The project involves installing a single-glazed partition with sliding double glass doors to create a separate area within the building.

Installation of Single Glazed Partitioning

Project Summary – Single Glazed Wall with Sliding Glass Double Door

The project includes the supply and installation of a single-glazed partition system made from 12mm clear toughened glass. The installation will feature a glass wall with full-height sliding double doors, providing a practical way to separate the space while allowing natural light to pass through.

The sliding double doors will be fitted with aluminium frames finished in anthracite RAL 7016, giving the installation a modern and professional appearance. The doors will run on a concealed top-hung sliding track, keeping the floor area clear and allowing easy access through the partition.

D-shaped pull handles will be fitted to the doors, with no locking mechanism required. The installation will not be fire-rated.

Glass over-panel fixings will be used to support the glazing track, with the fixings secured to the glass panels as part of the overall system.

To improve visibility and safety, DDA-compliant manifestation will be applied to the glazing. This will consist of two rows of 50mm dots, helping people identify the glass partition and doors more easily.
