Internal Glazed Metal Door Leeds Yorkshire
In Out Solutions were contacted by a client in Leeds, Yorkshire, to supply and install a black framed glass sliding door. The project involved replacing an existing timber double door with a modern sliding glass door and matching side panel.
Project Summary – Sliding Glass Door
The installation consisted of a single sliding glass door made from clear 10mm toughened glass, measuring approximately 2 metres by 2 metres high. The door and side panel were fitted with aluminium frames finished in black RAL 9005, giving the installation a clean and modern appearance. The sliding door was fitted with a concealed top-hung sliding track, also finished in black RAL 9005. This allows the door to slide open and closed without requiring a traditional hinged opening, making it a practical option for the interior space.
A 600mm pull handle was installed, with no locking mechanism required. The door was not fire-rated, and 25mm aluminium banding was applied to both sides of the glazing to complete the design. As part of the project, the existing timber double door was removed, and three softwood timber packers were supplied and installed to help accommodate the new system.
